Who Can Join Rotary

Qualified potential members are men and women of good character who possess an excellent business or professional reputation, and who live or work in and surrounding areas of Mineral Wells, Texas. Appropriate candidates include those are presidents, vice presidents, owners, managers, and/or someone with discretionary authority wanting to take positive changes in our community.

Requirements

To become a member of any Rotary Club, you must be proposed by a member of the club you wish to join. We are looking for business professionals and/or someone with discretionary authority.

Financial Obligations

  • Annual Fee - $250
  • Paul Harris Foundation - $100
  • Guest Lunches - *Based on City Meat Market Menu

Attendance Obligations

Regular meetings are held weekly each Wednesday and start at Noon in the Gymnasium of Southside Church of Christ on 1401 SE 25th Street in Mineral Wells. We know that our members have full schedules, and we ask that members try to maintain at least more than 50% of attendance or participation throughout the year.

Approval Process

  • Once a membership proposal is received in the Rotary Office the proposal goes to the Classification and Membership Committee.
  • The Classification and Membership Committee will review and interview the nominee. Nominees that are approved will then be submitted to the Board of Directors for review and vote.
  • Once approved by the Board of Directors, the nominee will receive first reading and second reading before the Club.
  • If there are no objections by the club after the first and second readings, the nominee will receive a welcome letter requesting a photo and payment for annual dues and foundation fee.
  • Once those tasks are completed, the nominee will be required to attend a New Member Orientation with Club President and Membership Committee Chair and Club Director. The NMO is required before the nominee is eligible to be officially introduced.
  • Once the nominee has attended the Rotary Information Session, the nominee is an official member of the Club and will be introduced by their proposer at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
  • NOTE: The entire process may take up to 30 days.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Business professionals join the Rotary Club to enhance their leadership development and benefits for their business.
